The federal government wants to regulate “fake news” in Canada, but has a track record of dismissing coverage it doesn’t agree with as misinformation.
Even so, Canada and the United Kingdom will be co-hosting a media freedom summit in England in July. True North wants to be there to stand up for press freedom, and hold the government to account. We can’t do this alone.
