At the Global Conference for Media Freedom earlier this month, the Canadian and British governments put much emphasis on “media sustainability” as a means to protecting journalistic freedom. This included a session on bolstering public broadcasting, hosted by Public Media Alliance CEO Sally-Ann Wilson. True North’s Andrew Lawton interviewed Wilson after the panel.
True North seeks to provide Canadians with fair, accurate, truthful and fact-based news reports, analysis, investigative reports, podcasts, interviews and documentaries. True North journalists are professional, independent and credentialed members of the Independent Press Gallery of Canada. All True North journalists must pledge to respect and uphold the Principles of Conduct laid out in the International Federation of Journalists’ Bordeaux Declaration.
