Don Cherry’s critics are saying that the longtime hockey icon’s firing has nothing to do with free speech – it was just a company doing what it has a right to do. There’s no denying Sportsnet had the right to get rid of Cherry, though that doesn’t mean it’s not still a free speech issue.
