The amnesty period for guns the Liberal government prohibited in May of 2020 was supposed to expire in less than six weeks, but this week the government extended it to October 2023. While this means gun owners are allowed to hold onto their legally-owned property for another 18 months, it also proves the Liberals are doing up their firearms policy on the back of a napkin.
