LAWTON: Conservative balanced budget law is a good start

The Conservative party’s platform includes a pledge to introduce legislation requiring governments to balance the budget. However, Scheer has said his party won’t balance the budget for another five years. The Liberals, despite promising only “modest” deficits in the 2015 election, ran over $52 billion in deficits in their first three years and are on track to spend $90 billion in deficits if re-elected.

True North’s Andrew Lawton says the Conservative proposal is a good start, but Scheer, if elected, should get to balance more quickly.

According to an event description, Liberal candidate Tariq Chaudary was involved in a lecture by Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik.

Naik has been banned from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia, his sermons have also been said to inspire terrorists

“If bin Laden is fighting enemies of Islam, I am for him. If he is terrorizing America—the terrorist, biggest terrorist—I am with him,” said Naik once about the notorious leader of Al-Qaeda.

Chaudary who is the Liberal candidate for Edmonton-Riverbend was listed as a contact for a talk by Naik on “Religion in the Right Perspective” hosted in Edmonton.

The event was marketed as free for non-Muslims and cost $10 for Muslims. In other sermons, Naik has spoken positively of sex slavery suggesting that men have the right to female slaves

Naik has also made controversial comments suggesting that LGBT people suffer from mental illness caused by pornogrpahy.

“LGBT Community are patients suffering from a sinful mental problem. It’s because they watch pornographic movies. The TV channels are to be blamed,” said Naik in a video.

Naik also advocates for the death penalty for apostasy or leaving the Islamic faith saying that it is the most “humane” punishment.

“There is a death penalty in Islam for such a person,” said Naik in a television interview

The event description describes Naik as “renowned as an international orator on Islam and comparative religion”.

In the last four years, Justin Trudeau has managed to piss off Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and even Quebec and caused the renewal of the Bloc Quebecois.

Judge called Liberal candidate a “narcissist” seeking her own goals in 2008 ruling

0

In a 2008 bankruptcy and insolvency ruling, a judge called Liberal candidate Tracy Calogheros a “narcissist” and “egocentric”.

“In my estimation Mrs. Calogheros is an egocentric individual who acknowledges few limitations on what means may be employed to attain her goals,” said the trial judge.

Calogheros is the Liberal candidate for the British Columbia riding of Cariboo-Prince George and is currently the Chief Executive Officer, The Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre.

The civil suit was between Caloghero’s husband, his ex-wife and Tracy Caloghero’s parents. The judge noted that Mrs. Calogheros was a “driving force” behind her husband’s life.

“Although Tracy Calogheros (nee Boychuck) was not a named party in the litigation, she had been and remained very much a driving force in the bankrupt’s life,” wrote the court decision.

In the suit, her husband owed his ex-wife Karie Lynn Leboe nearly $35,000 in costs awarded to her. After demanding the costs be payed, Mr. Caloghero in turn filed for bankruptcy

While the now-Liberal candidate was not an active participant in the trial she was mentioned as taking part in the situation.

Calogheros also ran for the Liberal party in 2015 but lost to Conservative Todd Doherty.

A lot has happened in the last four years that has sent us in the wrong direction. Yet Canada still remains strong. But this isn’t because of Justin Trudeau. Canada remains strong in spite of its current leader.

Scheer promises to secure the Canadian border and curtail illegal immigration

0

Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer made a campaign commitment on Wednesday to put an end to illegal immigration into Canada along our border with the United States.

According to official statistics by the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada 45,517 illegal border crossers have entered Canada since February 2017.

Illegal entry into the country has continued without hindrance since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s infamous “Welcome to Canada” tweet on January 28, 2017. The Liberals have since done very little to curb the flow of illegal immigrants which has been growing steadily each year.

In 2017, a total of 18,060 illegal border crossers entered into Canada, whereas in 2018 a whopping 20,599 were allowed entry illegally.

Scheer made the announcement while at a campaign stop along Roxham Road in Lacolle, Quebec. Roxham Road is one of the most popular destinations for illegal immigrants seeking to get into the country and is the spot where most of the border crossings take place.

In 2018, figures showed that nearly 96 per cent of all illegal border crossings took place at that location.

“For Canadians to have faith in the immigration system, the rules have to be followed and the laws have to be enforced. As prime minister, that’s exactly what I will do,” said Scheer.

Scheer claimed he intends to refocus Canada’s immigration system towards economic aspects and refugees most in need of asylum. He also promised his party would amend the Safe Third Country Agreement, which regulates asylum claims made between Canada and the United States.

According to the Canada Border Services Agency, there is a backlog of approximately 18,000 people waiting to be deported from Canada, some of which are illegal border crossers.

This Week’s Fake News with Candice Malcolm!

Andrew Scheer recently made an announcement to stop the flow of illegal border crossers, unveiling his immigration plan at Roxham Road. Naturally, the mainstream twisted and misinterpreted his words.

Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau appears on a cringe-worthy episode of “New Mom who dis” where he shamelessly uses two young girls as political props in a thinly-veiled attempt at damage control on his recent blackface scandal.

KNIGHT: Liberal candidate tainted by organized crime allegations

0

It used to be in the parliamentary system that an MP would step aside if he was under investigation. If that member refused to step aside,  typically the party leader would demand a resignation until the cloud of suspicion was lifted or not as the case may be.

But with a Prime Minister who has himself been found guilty of not one, but two ethics violations and may be the subject of an RCMP investigation over his handling of the SNC-Lavelin corruption prosecution file, he is hardly in a position to stand in judgement of Liberal MP for Steveston – Richmond East Joe Peschisolido who has  a major raincloud over his head.

Peschisolido is by trade a lawyer. Unfortunately for him, he surrendered his law licence last year and the BC Law Society literally took over his law practice in April and assigned a custodian to wind down his files.

In June and July, Global’s Sam Cooper reported that he is under investigation by the RCMP looking into money-laundering allegations and their relationship to Asian Organized Crime (AOC).

If that’s not bad enough, the Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion announced in a letter in August to  Conservative MP Peter Kent that he was investigating Peschisolido for failing to update his disclosure records required by all MPs after the Law Society took control of his law firm.

All of this is related to money laundering through B.C. casinos and dodgy real estate deals.

The RCMP investigation dubbed E-Pirate which began in 2015 learned Peschisolido was “affiliated with” and was “structuring” investment deals for some of his clients associated with AOC.

Damning information one might think. Yet, Peschisolido is still on the ballot on October 21st to once again represent the Liberal Party of Canada in the House of Commons.

The cast of characters being investigated involves members of the notorious Big Circle Boys including alleged loan shark and convicted drug dealer Kwok Tam. But there are others with links to everything from prostitution to private casinos, loan sharking, drug dealing and extortion.

There are a number of lawsuits resulting from all of this as well as a pending public inquiry into the sordid mess that was identified by two separate reports into money laundering done for the B.C. Attorney General David Eby by retired RCMP Deputy Commissioner Peter German. The inquiry will be chaired by Supreme Court Justice Austin Cullen and is expected to report by May of 2021.

There are a great many tentacles to all of this and certainly the spectre of involvement in AOC money laundering, with clients who are involved in all manner of criminal enterprises including “transnational organized crime” according to RCMP documents.

What is clear is that there is much more to come in all of this and yet Peschisolido is still on the ballot and could very well get re-elected in Steveston – Richmond East which has a significant Asian population.

All of this is in the public domain. And the Prime Minister is trying to label Conservative leader Andrew Scheer as somehow unfit because he may or may not have been licensed as an insurance broker.

The mind boggles.
