Brampton is a complete disaster. Mass immigration from India has created a situation where a violent foreign religious conflict is taking over city streets. Khalistanis and Hindu nationalists in Brampton have spent that past two days clashing as Canada-India relations continue to plummet.
Harrison Faulkner was on the scene last night at the Hindu counter protest to document the unruly riot that took place on Monday.
The Trudeau government is “working to establish digital credentials” for Canadians – without parliamentary oversight.
As first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, while Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed the Liberals “stand against” digital ID, it looks like this controversial concept, which has been dismissed as a “conspiracy theory” by many, may soon become a reality for Canadians.
President of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, John Carpay, joins Rachel Parker to discuss.
The Edmonton police are asking for the public to help identify suspects allegedly involved in a series of “hate-motivated” mischief and arson attacks at the Holy Rosary church in Central Edmonton.
Police say there have been three incidents at the church since December, including an incident where the word “burn” was spray painted on a Pope John Paul II statue and a hand-crafted nativity scene was set on fire.
A representative of the Edmonton Police Service told True North Tuesday that arrests have yet to be made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
“At this time, it’s not clear if any of the events are connected, although the church has been affected by an unusually high number of mischief and arson incidents,” the spokesperson said.
According to an EPS news release, the church has been subject to two vandalism attacks just days apart in September of this year as well as the destruction of a “culturally significant” nativity display in December of 2023.
“On Sep. 18, 2024 at approximately 9 p.m., a male and a female suspect approached the church and damaged a security camera before being startled by an approaching vehicle and fleeing the scene,” the release said.
The male suspect is described as white, approximately 30 years old, with dark hair, thin facial hair and tattoos on both forearms. He was smoking a cigarette at the time and wore glasses, a black and white jacket, knee-length jean shorts, a black and white Louis Vuitton logo ball cap, and a thick gold chain.

The female suspect was described as having shoulder length brown hair, wore a pink ball cap, a jean vest and grey jeans with ripped knees and was carrying a brown purse and a black tote bag.

“Two days later, on Sep. 20, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., a male suspect spray painted the church’s statue of Pope John Paul with the word ‘burn’ while another male subject looked on,” the release said.
Police say it is unclear whether the male suspect who spray painted the Pope statue was the same in both incidents in September.
The Sept. 20., suspect was described as tall with a medium build medical mask, grey hoodie, navy blue jacket, grey pants with a wide black stripe on the upper portion of the pants, black runners and yellow leather work gloves and carried a can of white spray paint.
The late Pope was recognized as a Saint of the Catholic Church along with Pope John XXIII on April 27, 2014.
The statue was also vandalized in 2021 with red paint splatter and handprints in the wake of reports that unmarked graves were found at the Kamloops residential school. However, the site has not revealed human remains and only soil irregularities have been discovered.
The report said that on Dec. 28, 2023, just before 2 a.m., a male suspect also lit the church’s nativity display on fire before fleeing on foot.

“Church community members have told us that the nativity display was handcrafted by a parishioner decades ago and is culturally significant,” Acting Sgt. Cydney Ross, with the EPS Hate Crimes Unit, said in the press release. “Due to its unique nature, the display was irreplaceable and had sentimental value to the church community.”
Ross said the cumulative effect of the events has made the church and surrounding community of residents in the rectory and users of the convent and daycare building feel unsafe.
The Polish parish posted photos of the damage to the nativity scene to its Facebook page, captioning them “Religious freedom, the Canadian version.”

The Edmonton Public School Board is gearing up for a fight with Alberta parents and Premier Danielle Smith’s government by opposing a series of parental rights policies.
The school board issued a motion on Tuesday that attacked the right of parents to be informed about their children using different pronouns while at school and giving them more control over sex education.
The motion quoted Senator Kristopher Wells saying that the policies, “if passed, they would be some of the most extreme anti-trans and anti-2SLGBTQ policies, not only in Canada, but in the world.”
The policies provide additional protection for youth in healthcare, education, and sports. One key change is from the current policy where parents can opt their children out of lessons that teach sexual orientation and gender identity curricula. Parents will now have to opt them in.
The school board’s motion said that this needs to be reverted immediately.
“Allowing parents/guardians to opt out of sexual education, is a long-standing practice that works,” reads the motion. “The process is transparent, respects student well-being as well as parental choice. There are numerous research studies that show the teaching of sexual health education contributes to safer sex practices, fewer sexually transmitted infections, and reduced teen pregnancies.”
However, nothing in Alberta’s bills would remove sexual education. Parents would just have more say in what kind of sexual education their children learn about.
Executive Director of Parents for Choice in Education, John Hilton-O’Brien, criticized the “evidence” provided in the EPSB’s motion, saying that it relied heavily on surveys, which doesn’t speak to cause and effect. He said that the evidence provided had been “destroyed” by the Cass Review — which Smith previously called “the most comprehensive review of the medical literature and the science behind” the impacts of transitioning on children.
Additionally, he said that the school board fundamentally misunderstood children’s right to privacy. He said they’re arguing that a child’s right to privacy is against the parents and that they, as bureaucrats, could exercise that right. However, in reality, the right to privacy is against the state and for the parents to exercise.
“They’re flipping the very idea of human rights completely on its head,” said Hilton-O’Brien.
“These guys can’t get it together with the billion dollars plus that they have. They couldn’t get it together to give a salient response to this legislation. This is sheer incompetence,” he added.
However, he did admit that the proposed legislation was imperfect. He said that it was similar to Smith’s leadership review, about 91.5% correct.
One of his concerns was that the education minister would now have to approve learning and teaching resources or external presenters for topics dealing with gender identity, sexual orientation, or human sexuality. Another was that schools would be forced to develop a Gay-Straight Alliance if a single student asked for one.
Hilton-O’Brien explained that both of these policies could collide with religious schools and their guidelines for teaching.
Founder of DeTrans Alliance Canada, Kellie Lynn Pirie, told True North that she wished such policies existed when she was a vulnerable youth.
“Socially transitioning a child is not a neutral activity. The majority of youth who socially transition go onto hormones and surgery,” said Lynn Pirie, echoing the statements of Smith, who previously said it’s an almost 100% transition rate from social to literal transition.
“Premier Smith’s new policies ensure that schools cannot initiate a child into a gender transition process without informing their parents,” added Lynn Pirie. “Youth also cannot get a driver’s license without parental consent. There are reasonable constraints placed upon young people.”
Lynn Pirie said that children pay the price for being taught that it is possible to be “born in the wrong body.”
“The policies will encourage a kinder, gentler, more compassionate approach to youth who are different, gender non-conforming, or distressed,” she said. “No child should be told their way of being a boy or girl is so wrong that only pharmaceuticals and surgeries can fix them.”
The motion claimed that the EPSB’s sexual orientation, gender identity and expression policies are so good that they have been used as a model by other school divisions. The board claimed that Smith did not share the opt-in change with them before implementation.
Alberta’s Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides told True North that the proposed amendments follow requests from parents who want to be more involved in their child’s education.
“Our team has talked with school boards, teachers, superintendents, parents, and other partners to get their advice and guidance,” he said. “Should the proposed legislation pass, we will continue to consult with our stakeholders throughout the implementation of these policies to ensure the right supports are available where and when they are needed.
Ex-Toronto Sun and True North journalist Anthony Furey lost his bid for Toronto city council Monday night after being the target of a concerted smear campaign led by former Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne and the group that worked overtime to put our NDP mayor in office.
Furey took 7,343 of the votes in the Don Valley West by-election compared to his opponent and the now departing chairman of the Toronto District School Board, Rachel Chernos-Lin, who captured 12,889 votes.
Only 32% of the eligible voters in this expansive riding — which takes in the Bridle Path and Lawrence Park as well as Thorncliffe Park — turned up to vote.
Furey — who’d been pounding the pavement since late July— conceded defeat by wishing Chernos-Lin well in her new venture. He also admitted that he’d had to deal with a campaign of voter suppression by forces that included Progress Toronto, the left-wing group that is a partner in Mayor Olivia Chow’s foundation, Institute for Change Leaders.
While Jewish, the former TDSB chairman did nothing while anti-Semitic incidents in TDSB classrooms increased 300% under her watch.
Violence in schools was and is also rampant.
Critics alleged she bullied trustees and other opponents who disagreed with her.
Furey, who ran on a common sense platform promising to tackle the waste of money at City Hall, to bring accountability to city affairs and to address gridlock (and the proliferation of bike lanes), was initially targeted by Wynne and Liberal activist Howard Brown.
Wynne’s wife, Jane Rounthwaite, ran Chernos-Lin’s campaign.
In September, Wynne went on the air and claimed Furey was “Islamophobic, anti-trans, anti-gay and a bigot” — smears replicated in a September hit piece by Toronto Star reporter and bike lane activist Ben Spurr.
In early October, Progress Toronto — whose executive director and several of its organizers are virulently anti-Israel — took over where Wynne left off, canvassing and disseminating hate literature in the riding about Furey before they even officially registered as a third-party advertiser.

Newly obtained documents dispute Consul General Tom Clark’s claim that he was uninvolved in the Liberal government’s decision to buy a new $9 million condo in Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row.
According to documents obtained by Politico through an access-to-information request, Clark raised concerns about the original New York residence within two months of his appointment. The documents show Clark saying that the old apartment was “not suitable” for “hosting events” or as a residence and that it required “immediate replacement.”
While Global Affairs Canada insists that these concerns “did not influence the final decision to relocate,” the Conservatives have launched a House of Commons committee study into the purchase in July.
“The NDP-Liberal Government only decided to purchase a $9 million luxury condo on Billionaires’ Row in New York City after Trudeau’s close friend and media buddy, Tom Clark, complained that his old apartment was uninhabitable,” reads a statement from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s Office on Tuesday.
“This proves that Tom Clark lied in his testimony at a House of Commons’ Committee, after previously telling Canadians that he was not involved in the decision to purchase the new luxury condo.”
Conservative MP Michael Barrett accused Clark of lying during his appearance before the Standing Committee on Government Spending and Operations on Tuesday.
“We know that he personally complained that his taxpayer-funded residence wasn’t up to his standards because it didn’t have a luxury kitchen or the perfect floor plan, said Barrett. “And after Tom Clark complained, Justin Trudeau rewarded his friend and media pal with a new luxury condo at four times the cost to taxpayers.”
“To Canadains who are watching, Justin Trudeau and Tom Clark fleeced the taxpayers and they tried to cover it up,” he added.

Barrett then asked Minister of Foreign Affairs Melanie Joly if she thought it was appropriate for Trudeau to award a personal friend with such a “flagrant waste of tax dollars” amid the cost of living crisis that many Canadians are facing.
Joly responded by saying that she thought “Canadians are getting good value for their money because there will be $7 million dollars in Canadian taxpayer-savings.”
She went on to say that the “process” required to make such a purchase “was respected at all times” and that this is a very crucial time for Canada to make its presence known in the United States as the country undergoes an election.
Global Affairs Canada claims that the decision to buy a new condo first began in 2014, under former prime minister Stephen Harper and was not influenced by Clark’s complaints.
However, the Conservatives say the initial plan was to refurbish the old apartment, which would have cost taxpayers less than the $9 million purchase of a new condo, arguing that Clark was “instrumental” in the decision to purchase the property.
“As a result of this decision, Justin Trudeau effectively quadrupled the cost to taxpayers by buying a new luxury condo for $9 million instead of completing repairs which were already underway,” reads the statement from Poilievre’s office.
“Worse still, the decision to purchase this lavish condo only occurred after Justin Trudeau visited Tom Clark in New York City,” it continued. “While Canadians cope with Trudeau’s housing hell, well-connected Liberals have never had things so good.”
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has called on premiers across Canada to eliminate provincial sales taxes on new homes under $1 million.
Plus, nearly half of all human trafficking cases reported in Canada over the last decade have occurred within five major cities, according to Statistics Canada.
And nearly half of Canadians are choosing to forgo medical care because they don’t want to face overwhelming wait times.

A former South African MP and UK independent candidate is urging anti-Israel activists to turn poppy pins into Palestinian flags during November when Canada and its allies honour their veterans.
Author Andrew Feinstein urged his followers on X to take “online action (to) make” poppies in the “colours of the Palestine flag” and to wear them during Remembrance Month.
The post was hit with a community note on X, noting that the image of the poppy has been a trademark of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1948 and, as such, “should not be co-opted for other groups without the consent of the Legion.”
According to the RCL’s website, the organization has trademarked the symbol to “safeguard the poppy insignia as a symbol of remembrance.”
“The Legion has been entrusted with the significant task of safeguarding the sacred poppy, protecting it from misuse and commercialization. Our Canadian Veterans bravely accepted the duty and responsibility to protect our rights and freedom; it is now we who must accept the duty and responsibility to protect and honour them,” The Legions Poppy Manual states. “Through the collective efforts of all Legion Members, we will ensure that the poppy remains the symbol of remembrance for their sacrifices.”
The National Spokesperson for the RCL told True North that because Feinstein’s call to action was made in the UK, the Legion has contacted its British counterparts to “see if they can have it removed.”
The Royal British Legion did not respond to True North’s requests for comment before the deadline provided.
Since 1921, the poppy has stood as a symbol of remembrance for those who have served and sacrificed their lives for Canada or its allies.
According to the Legion’s website, the Legion ensures that the remembrance poppy is not used to “commercialize, politicize or dishonour those who served.”
It says that the poppy can never be used as a symbol of remembrance by an organization, group, community, or individual for political display without the written permission of the Dominion Command Poppy and Remembrance community.
“The unauthorized use of the poppy symbol by any command, branch, corporation, group or individual may result in litigation or sanction against the offending party,” the Legion Poppy Manual states.
Feinstein did not respond to True North’s requests to comment.
Users on X condemned Feinstein for his call to action.
One 20-year Canadian veteran who served in Afghanistan, who goes by the name Prairie Veteran on X, blasted Feinstein in the comments.
“I lost brothers and sisters in combat in Afghanistan. How dare you desecrate their honour by posting this B***S***! This is our poppy. Not yours to dishonour,” he said.
X user Idan Levy noted that the Rochdale Cenotaph, the First World War memorial in North West England, was desecrated by anti-Israel vandals who wrote “Free Palestine” last year.
Pretty much one year ago, Pro Palestinian thugs desecrated the Rochdale Cenotaph.
Today, they are trying to hijack the poppy by creating "Poppies For Palestine", or "The Palestine Poppy". pic.twitter.com/IjXqA5CVLH
Some anti-Israel activists attempted to justify using the poppy as a pro-Palestinian symbol, arguing that the Palestinian national flower is a poppy.
According to the Palestinian Information Centre and the Palestine Wildlife Society, the Faqqua Iris, or Iris Haynei, not the poppy, is Palestine’s national symbol, as declared by the Palestinian Authority in 2016.
However, according to an article in the “Middle East Eye,” there is a poppy native to that region in the Middle East. The Palestinian people have used it in art for years, and it has recently been used as a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
However, there is no history of Palestinian people wearing poppies as pins in November other than in recent protests. According to the “New Arab,” activists began wearing poppies in London, England on Remembrance Day last year.
White “peace” poppies have also been sold in support of a ceasefire in Gaza, though many online have also bemoaned their use, saying there sometimes cannot be peace without war.
A Calgary city councillor called out local tow truck companies that “prey” on victims of accidents and disrupt emergency responses.
Coun. Peter Demong is seeking to change bylaws which would result in fines for tow truck drivers blocking emergency vehicles at crash sites.
Demong plans to put forward a notice of motion on Thursday to address “predatory behaviours” by towing companies, including establishing a perimeter around crash sites.
According to Demong, there is a “growing local trend” of tow truck companies arriving at the scene of a collision before being called, and subsequently billing the drivers with “ridiculously inflated invoices” to retrieve their vehicles from the lot they’re towed to.
“There is a growing local trend where tow companies showing up at collision scenes prior to being called upon, as is happening in other major cities across Canada,” reads Demong’s notice of motion.
He goes on to call these tow truck drivers “poachers,” referring to individuals who are “using scanners to pick up the Calgary Fire Department calls for service and arriving there quickly – in some cases before CFD, and attempting to solicit tow services regardless of the condition of the vehicles involved.”
The City of Calgary already has a contract with City Wide Towing for collisions involving police responses within its perimeters.
The company’s operations manager Jeff Hribnak said he began noticing these types of tow trucks at scenes this summer and that such practices are becoming increasingly frequent.
“The amount I’m seeing and hearing about (these companies is) absurd, they’re not within the scope of towing practices,” Hribnak told CTV News Calgary. “It’s not illegal, no, but general public motorists are being taken advantage of.”
Hribnak reviewed another customer’s bill involving a separate towing company and found that the client was similarly charged over double what their contracted prices via the city would be.
“Do your research. Go with a reputable company,” warned Hribnak.
Demong is hoping to persuade the city to review and potentially make changes to the business license bylaw that would prohibit towing companies from stopping within a radius of a collision unless requested to do so by emergency services or the people involved in the collision.
His motion also calls for the so-called poachers to face increasing fines for repeat offences.
He also noted that the Calgary Fire Department would need to spend around $500,000 to retrofit new encrypted radios to prevent poachers from overhearing their calls.
Whereas, creating a perimeter around an accident would be a viable alternative to the problem while also saving the department said expenses.
“These individuals are being asked to move away from the scene so emergency responders can assess the scene only to receive verbal abuse from the “poachers” and in some cases near physical confrontations,” continues the motion.
According to the Calgary Police Service, the CFD has already brought this issue to its attention, however, no formal complaints have been filed thus far.
“We have been made aware of some instances where members of the public have been charged excessive towing and storage fees, so we are aware of that happening,” said Deputy Chief Chad Tawfik.
“It’s relatively recent that it’s been brought to our attention, and it has been a bigger issue in other jurisdictions, so we’re aware it’s been happening elsewhere.”
For example, an unsolicited tow truck driver in Edmonton was recently charged for refusing to release a vehicle to its owner.
Demong’s motion also cited the municipality of Ottawa, which recently made bylaw amendments that require “tow companies to remain outside a 100m radius of the scene of a collision and if in violation of this they will be given a fine of $197.00.”
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith likened Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault’s newly released draft oil and gas cap to a scorched earth economic policy meant to unfairly target one of Canada’s most prosperous provinces.
“I’m pissed. I’m absolutely angry because we’ve been working with these guys for two years. Because we have a plan that would reduce emissions responsibly by 2050, and they continue to act like they’re working collaboratively with us. And then they come out with exactly the same policy that they put forward a year ago with no changes whatsoever,” said Smith. “How are you supposed to participate in good faith with a partner who hammers you over the head when your back is turned? That’s how we feel today.”
The Liberals’ announcement comes despite various organizations warning the feds that any such cap would devastate the Canadian economy, reducing the GDP by trillions, and wiping out hundreds of thousands of jobs.
On top of that, Smith said the cap violates Canada’s constitution, which grants provinces exclusive jurisdiction over non-renewable natural resource development.
An S&P study showed that if implemented, the cap would cut production by two million barrels of oil daily. Smith said that half of that, one million barrels of oil daily, would result in losing $3 billion to $7 billion annually. The entire budget for roads and bridges, income assistance for the severely handicapped, and post-secondary budgets would be wiped out entirely.
Smith added that $28 billion would disappear from Alberta’s GDP annually, with Canada taking a $97 billion annual hit nationally.
“Once again, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is putting reckless policy ahead of the needs and concerns of everyday Canadians. I made note that he would do this on his way out the door. It’s like a bad renter who’s burning the furniture on their way out,” said Smith.
Premier Smith said the Liberals continue to lie and mislead the public about the province’s record, which has seen production increase and emissions fall simultaneously thanks to introducing new technologies.
Smith said that emissions reduction can be done responsibly over time by implementing new technologies, but rushing it will do nothing but harm the province and country.
“That is not acceptable. Not for a government that is at what? 20% in the polls? Not for a government that is on its way out the door,” said Smith. “It cannot destroy the most important industry in the country by targeting our province with this kind of unilateral action. We just won’t stand for it.”
She added that Trudeau needed to call an election now but was putting up roadblocks instead of providing actual solutions to global energy security.
Alberta and Canada could provide energy security to the world, Smith said. However, instead, Canada’s energy industry is under attack by the Liberals, which empowers dictatorships like Venezuela, Iran, and China.
Smith said that her province was being unfairly targeted and that Guilbeault’s policies would cost Canadians $419 per month.
“This is not responsible policy. This is a vendetta. He has a deranged vendetta against Alberta. It’s very obvious. We’ve been watching it for some time,” Smith said of Guilbeault.
Smith responded to Guilbeault’s accusation that she, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe don’t believe in climate change.
“That is just absolute nonsense. And he continues to say such things because he’s trying to demonize our province, and he’s trying to demonize our sector, and he’s trying to justify unconstitutional policy. And it’s absolutely unacceptable,” said Smith. “We expect our national leaders to engage in nation-building as opposed to nation-destruction. And that is what they are doing by having a particular type of emissions cap targeted to our particular industry, that is going to impact our particular province for no other reason than to be vindictive.”
Smith said she would immediately task her justice minister to take the feds to court. She will also begin drafting a motion under the Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act immediately.
“We will not stand idly by while the federal government sacrifices our prosperity, our constitution, and our quality of life for its extreme agenda,” reads Alberta’s joint statement.
